Women's March on the Air Capital: March to the Polls

There's a lot going on in the next week in conjunction with the Wichita Women's March. Come be part of our community and show your solidarity for Women's Rights.

Here’s the Scoop!

Saturday, January 13 from 7 pm to midnight

Vagabond Cafe - 614 W. Douglas

Come on out and join us for a fun night to celebrate the upcoming March and raise funds for the amazing event these women have planned for us! They have worked so hard, this is our opportunity to support that and have some fun while we do it! There will be drink specials, a raffle, a silent auction, and an appearance by our own Beefy the Cow!

Thursday, January 18 from 5 pm to 9 pm

Fusion Restaurant – 1812 W. Douglas

Bring poster board, markers, bingo dabbers, duct tape or any other supplies to donate.

Friday, January 19 at 7 pm

Orpheum Theater – 200 N. Broadway

This documentary is about the Equal Means Equal initiative supports equal rights and the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment with the objective of educating individuals and engaging communities regarding the role of the Amendment in eradicating inequities facing women across the country.

Saturday, January 20 from 11 am to 2 pm

455 N. Main Street

Your Headmistress will be the final speaker at the event. Stick around and show your support!

The plan for this years event: We will meet at City Hall, 455 N Main to unite and rally. Several powerful Women speaking, sharing with us what they're "marching" for, live local bands and more!

Main street from Central to 3rd will be closed off for our event. (It's okay to play in the street this year!) Last year, we came together making our voices heard - that Women's rights are human rights, to fight for equality and stand up to environmental and social injustices. We mobilized. We made history. We created a movement. Let's do it again!! One year later, we're still here and even stronger than before. On January 20th lets come together and unite to reaffirm our commitment to building a positive and brighter future for all and to celebrate the resistance and collective, grassroots efforts over the last year. Our goal this year is to encourage and ensure participation in the 2018 mid term elections. Hear Our Voice. Now HEAR OUR VOTE!

Women's March After Party

We'll gather at Fusion Restaurant - 1812 W. Douglas for lunch after the march.
