Do you know we have an urban farm in downtown Wichita? In partnership with Fidelity Bank, Rise Farms has transformed a carpark rooftop into thriving, year-round food and solar power production farms. This green-roof farm provides local produce to restaurants and Wichitans while lessening the urban heat island effect, curbing building energy costs, and preventing excess stormwater run-off. Join us for a tour of this amazing facility and discover more about this beacon of environmental progress.

Tour policies: To protect the safety of their visitors and produce, RISE has a few policies we must follow for our tour:

● If you have been in close proximity to plants or livestock before coming to our farm (e.g. a home garden, another farm, a flower shop, etc.) please change your clothes.

● Dress appropriately for the weather. Whatever it is like on the ground will be amplified on the roof, so layers that you can add or remove are a good idea.

● Wear shoes that are safe and can go through water. We will have you do a walk-through shoe sanitizer bath. (Heels are especially discouraged.)

● Please do not attend the tour if you are feeling ill, especially with a fever, jaundice, diarrhea, or vomiting.

● Wash your hands before the tour and use the restroom if needed, for we will be unable to take visitors downstairs to use the restrooms once the tour begins.

● Do not touch the plants, soil, beds, etc. Remember, this is someone's food!
