About the event

Making Mentoring Connections Finishing School for Modern Women Workshop

This event is open to the public. The registration fee is $10 at the door or in advance.

We’re meeting at Elevate Community Lab in Broadway Autopark, 303 S. Broadway from 6 to 8 PM.

Program:  Working with an influential mentor can be life-changing. Sharing your influence by mentoring others changes the world by showing women how to lead and succeed. Coming together to help each other grow is powerful, important work.  Join Headmistress Jill and her co-teacher Tiana Hardwell, founder of the youth-led initiative EmpowHER Project, to explore what type of mentoring commitment works for you, how to initiate a connection, and practical tips for establishing a successful mentoring relationship, whether you're seeking to mentor someone or be mentored.

About the organization:

Finishing School for Modern Women is not your grandmother’s etiquette school. We offer women's empowerment classes to help women grow their authentic selves. The Finishing School for Modern Women brings together women of all ages to learn from each other how to claim our power in business, finance, communication, and life. Not because we need finishing but because we're never finished.

About the Speakers:

Tiana Hardwell  Tiana Hardwell is a sophomore student at Wichita Southeast High School who is making a significant impact in her community. She founded the EmpowHERment Project, an anti-cyberbullying initiative, in 2022. Through this program, Tiana has presented to over 100 young people, equipping them with the necessary tools to combat cyberbullying and promote positive content sharing.

In recognition of her efforts, Tiana has received various awards and honors. She was awarded the "Citizenship Award" by Coleman Middle School in 2022. Tiana was also named one of the top five finalists for "Teens in Action" in the Miss Kansas' Outstanding Teen pageant.
